Thursday, April 25, 2019. Greg arrived! Yippee! He was exhausted after an overnight flight, but rallied. Soon after he arrived, we walked to the grocery store across the street and got some sandwiches.
We then caught the tram to Alexanderplatz. Paying for the tram was challenging. The kids and I had watched a video of what NOT to do in Berlin and one said don't get on to the tram without getting a ticket. But how do you get tickets? Turns out you can get them on the tram.... If you can read German and have enough Euro coins (no credit card or bills accepted). Hmmm.... I still hadn't figured it out by the time we got to our stop. Oh well.
At this stop, we picked up a Berlin City Tour bus. Rather than hoping on and off, we (mostly) stayed on. We started out on the top. It was sunny and beautiful! But then Haughton's allergies began acting up, and Ridgely got hot. So, we then went downstairs. Very comfortable and informative. Nice time was had by all. :)
