Travel Day

Friday, January 12, 2018.  Our flight took off at 10pm on Haughton's birthday.  We flew for almost eight hours to Frankfurt, sleeping a few hours on the plane.  We were excited to be in Germany for our six hour layover, but weren't able to leave the airport.  We then flew another four hours to Tel Aviv arriving at 11pm.  On a Friday night, Israeli airports are empty!  Took us no time to get our bags and clear customs.  It was about 30 minutes to our hotel (Maxim of Tel Aviv).  After getting settled the kids were wide awake.  We fell asleep after 3am!

Today we are packing, selling Girl Scout cookies, and celebrating Haughton's 9th birthday.  Yahoo!  Leaving for Israel in just a few hours.

A walk along the downs, a pub lunch, and fun with the dogs

Saturday,  May 6, 2017.  A perfect, relaxing day.  We hiked the downs with Michael, saw his sticks and bees, ate lunch at a pub, reviewed the family tree, and just hung out.  Again, Tessa prepared a wonderful meal for dinner. What a fantastic visit! 

Hever Castle

Friday, May 5, 2017.  Today Michael brought us to Hever Castle.  We toured the gardens, toured the Castle, fed the ducks and played on the zip line.  All the while Tessa prepared a delicious feast for us.  A wonderful time was had by all!

Lewes and Brighton

Thursday, May 4, 2017.  Tessa brought us to Lewes where we toured the Lewes Castle and Anne of Cleves' house.  We then caught the train to Brighton and Toured the Pavilion.  Stunning! We ate dinner at a pub in Brighton, which was yummy. A busy day was followed by a wonderfully relaxing evening. :)
